Professional Education

Hudson Perinatal Consortium is a provider of professional education focused on maternal child nursing and women's health issues. Some programs offered in the past year include: Postpartum Depression, Breastfeeding and Infant Massage, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Secondary Disabilities, and STABLE Infant Resuscitation.

Nursing Contact Hours:
Hudson Perinatal Consortium seeks to advance the knowledge and skills of nursing professionals through the provision of continuing nursing education programs. The consortium has been a provider of nursing continuing education for more than fifteen years. Hudson Perinatal Consortium is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New Jersey State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's COA. Provider number is valid through March 31, 2013. Provider Number P110-3/10-13. .

Accreditation refers to recognition of continuing education activities only and does not imply approval or endorsement of any commercial product.

Certificates of participation with earned nursing contact hours are provided at the end of each learning activity. Hudson Perinatal Consortium retains attendance records for six years. If a participant requires a replacement certificate, there will be an administrative charge of $5.00.

Social Work Continuing Education Hours:
Hudson Perinatal Consortium applies to the New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners for programs appropriate for Social Work Continuing Education Hours.

Professional Development Credit:
Hudson Perinatal Consortium provides professional development credits for appropriate programs for teachers and school nurses.

IBCLC:
Hudson Perinatal Consortium applies for CERPS for lactation related programs.
