Wipe Out Lead

Wipe Out Lead NJ, a statewide initiative, is designed to engage prenatal care providers in the distribution of lead dust test kits. HPC outreach workers will facilitate the distribution and perform the test during scheduled home visits to clients of the BIMR, HMHB and Juntas programs. The kits will enable Jersey City's pregnant and parenting women to identify lead hazards in their homes, receive on-site information and demonstration regarding lead poisoning prevention and cleaning methods and, if necessary, receive a direct link to services.
