Newborn Hearing Program

Each Maternal Child Health Consortium assists the Department of Health and Senior Service’s Newborn Hearing Program. On a quarterly basis, HPC visits each hospital to perform chart audits specifically targeting hearing screening information from the EBC. Ten maternal and infant charts are randomly selected each quarter and after each visit HPC sends a report of the results of the audit to NJDHHS.
