Perinatal
Risk Reduction
The Risk Reduction Initiative, through a grant from the New Jersey Department
of Health and Senior Services, provides risk reduction services to women of childbearing
age.
One component of the Initiative is the Perinatal Addiction Prevention Project.
This project focuses on identifying women who might be in need of substance abuse
treatment services during their pregnancy. The Initiative also provides professional
and community education about Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Alcohol Related Spectrum
Disorder (ARSD), perinatal addictions and substance abuse prevention.
